Worst Trail Run Ever (event)

For you non Facebook peeps out there, here is the "event" (something you create on FB and tell everyone about and see if they show up) that I "posted" (something you write on Facebook) on my Facebook "Page" (a page for...) oh never mind!

From my Facebook Page:

Just in case you can't read what this says, here it is:

This could be the most pathetic attempt at a trail run with elevation ever, but we do live in the Lowcountry.

Meet at the small parking lot at the Patriots Point Trail Head (across from the Shriner's Temple) at 5:00am (that's a full 30 minutes of extra sleep).

Route: Run the trail out and back twice (.8 miles one way or 3.2 miles total), stopping at each lookout stand and running the steps (twice). Then run to the Cooper River Bridge (via Harry Hallman Blvd) and do two repeats to the top (first bench) and back. Run back to the trail head and do it all over again. Each loop is about 5.6 miles.

Four hours of running is the plan, but you can run as long as you want. Bring headlamps for the first few hours on the trail.

This is unsupported and at your own risk (seriously, if you're dumb enough to do this no one will take your case anyway).

So if you are local and not doing anything Saturday from 5:00am to 9:00am (and out of your mind), come join us!

If you are on Facebook here is the link to the event: http://www.facebook.com/events/562802003738045/
