Recovery Run - 7-28-09

I did a six mile recovery run from my office to the Citadel and back. This is my usual route. It was after 12:00pm and near 90 degrees. I was hydrated enough, but it was still a hard run in that heat.

I went out a little fast and tried to slow down each mile to get closer to a recovery pace. It almost looked like I was doing the reverse of a progression run (9:50, 9:39, 9:49, 10:12, 10:17, 10:32). I should have ran the whole six miles a lot slower...

I was still in the sprint mode from this morning's Boot Camp and I actually had to make a concentrated effort to slow down.
