Reviewing this Year's Goals

Not even the end of the year and I have accomplished all of my running goals for 2010!

2010

- Maintain my weight (maybe even lose five more pounds) - CHECK!
- Run a 5k under 23:50 (could happen in the morning) - CHECK (23:30 that day)!
- Run the Cooper River Bridge 10k under 52:00 - CHECK (48:59)!
- Run the Palmetto200 Relay - CHECK!
- Run the Qu'est-ce que c'est? 12 Hour Run (run more than 31 miles) - CHECK (ran 50.5 miles)!
- Finish the Monumental Marathon in Indianapolis on my 40th birthday - CHECK!
- Finish a marathon under four hours - CHECK (3:59:47)!
- Run two marathons in two weeks - CHECK (I added this one at the end of the year)!

So now its time to start thinking about next year's goals and races.  I know that trail racing is going to be part of my list.  After running the Florida Canyon Trails, running two races with trails and reading the blog of one of my buddies, I am hooked.  I have been researching races and trail running shoes for the past week so I have some idea of what I want to do.

I have another month to work on my goal list and then I will publish it on the first of the year.  So if you thought my goals were crazy last year, wait until 2011...

  4. Thanks Joel! I think taking the car wreck out of the plan will help :)

If I can drop my 5k and 10k times like you I will be much happier.
